| Caesar and the Pinto, Las Vegas 1973 |
Personanondata (aka Michael Cairns) is about the academic, scholarly and professional publishing industry. Here I offer my opinion, analysis, annual predictions and news stories about the industry (and sometimes other things that interest me). My focus is on the application of technology within the industry as it transitions from a business dominated by print to one dependent on digital content creation and delivery.

Caesar and the Pinto
Another weekly image from the family archive. This one obviously from Las Vegas around 1973 although I am guessing at the date. Pretty much everything in this picture is no longer there. The hotel was demolished and if I recall the Pinto had a tendency to explode on contact.

Caesars not demolished, but vastly expanded, including a topless swimming pool area, and in a Coliseum theatre Celin is singing. Caesars was sold to Harrah's Entertainment for a billion plus change, and then Harrah's changed their name to Caesar.
Pintos may have exploded, but when casinos in Vegas 'implode' it is for modernization and expansion.
