Caesar and the Pinto

Another weekly image from the family archive. This one obviously from Las Vegas around 1973 although I am guessing at the date. Pretty much everything in this picture is no longer there. The hotel was demolished and if I recall the Pinto had a tendency to explode on contact.

Stephen said...: Caesars not demolished, but vastly expanded, including a topless swimming pool area, and in a Coliseum theatre Celin is singing. Caesars was sold to Harrah's Entertainment for a billion plus change, and then Harrah's changed their name to Caesar.

Pintos may have exploded, but when casinos in Vegas 'implode' it is for modernization and expansion.

I have served as a board member of the Association of American Publishers (AAP), the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) and in addition to my responsibilities at R.R. Bowker, l also served as Chairman of the International ISBN Executive Committee.
